Tamil Nadu, India
In Tamil Nadu, India, we work with an established grassroots project partner called Loving Hands India to provide safe homes for survivors of human trafficking or abuse, a private school and prevention programs.
Our local partner has worked in Tamil Nadu for nearly now over 15 years, restoring over 400 + individuals to becoming who they are called to be. They works tirelessly to combat the exploitation plaguing the state of Tamil Nadu, which has recently been recognized, tragically, as the Indian state with the hight number of exploitation cases in India. They lead with determination, passion and empathy that comes from having experienced trauma and healing themselves.
their focus is to work helping changing the trajectory of very women and children they work with, providing them love, care, counselling, education, and aftercare programs. The hope is to see these individuals become leaders not just in their community but in the nation and around the world.

The heart for Tivah Journey is a place for women exiting abuse and exploitation to discover their identity and walking in freedom emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually and vocationally.
We journey with women exiting sexual exploitation and abuse, supporting them with a trauma informed caring environment through safe housing, and a skill training centre. Our housing provides a safe place and is built to create community and connection. The Skill Training Centre offers life skill teaching, tailor made educational opportunities, counselling, and job training. Together walk with Survivors to discover the truth of their identity as they build a life they love.
The women they will work with within this is to focus the attention on a smaller group for housing. Having at a given max of 11 individuals. Aged 18+, who are exiting abuse and exploitation. Many will be coming from Government homes who has been there since their teens but will age out of the system at 18, becoming vulnerable once again. Others may be leaving abusive situations which leave them vulnerable to exploitation. Both organization feels passionate that no matter the exact story of abuse and exploitation that each woman needs trauma informed care and attention, an opportunity for counseling and community as well as eventually life skill training as well as vocational training leading to social enterprise and job placements
